Municipal and Magistrate Records
Not every Bibb court record appears through Superior Court or re:SearchGA. Public Access Framework for Bibb County Court Records
Georgia’s Open Records Act, including O.C.G.A. 50-18-70, favors access to public agency records, but Bibb State Court notes that judicial branch records are not handled exactly like ordinary agency records. Records That Are Sealed or Confidential in Bibb County
Juvenile Court is the clearest restricted category. Macon-Bibb Juvenile Court states that specific case information cannot be provided because of confidentiality. Georgia juvenile statutes also restrict many files, while allowing limited public access in specific circumstances. Adoption records, some mental-health proceedings, protected addresses, minor identifiers, Social Security numbers, financial account information, and sealed or restricted criminal history should not be expected in ordinary public copies.
