Bibb County re:SearchGA Transition
The Clerk's Public Records Search page states that beginning June 22, 2023, public users use re:SearchGA for public records searches involving criminal and civil documents. That change matters for older local habits because the eSearch portal remains active, but its main public use is land records and historical records. re:SearchGA is a statewide Tyler-hosted provider portal, and Georgia Courts' e-access page states users are redirected to a provider site and need an account to search court records.
For a Superior Court criminal or civil record that is not available through re:SearchGA, the fallback is direct contact with the Clerk of Superior Court. For State Court copies or certified records, Bibb State Court says requests must be in writing and payment in full must be received before information or documents are released. The Bibb Clerk eSearch portal covers real-estate index records from 1950 to current for a 60-year title search of deeds, liens, and plats. The landing page says guest subscribers can view index information only. Users who want to view, print, or download deeds, liens, or plats must sign in to an existing account or create a subscriber account. The portal states there is no longer a subscription fee, but there is a $2.00 minimum credit-card purchase and a $0.50 per page charge to print or download. Once an image is purchased, the unofficial watermark is removed.
