The most important records update is the June 22, 2023 change on the Clerk of Superior Court public records search page. Bibb directs public users to re:SearchGA for public records searches involving civil and criminal documents. The same page keeps eSearch for land records and historical records. That means a divorce or felony case search does not follow the same path as a deed, lien, plat, or older real-estate index search.

re:SearchGA is the provider portal for current public civil and criminal court document searching. Georgia Courts notes that e-access users are redirected to provider websites and may need an account to search court records. The Bibb research did not capture all live re:SearchGA field labels from a public static source, so users should not assume the portal fields are the same as State Court or Civil and Magistrate Court.
Bibb eSearch is different. It serves land records and historical records. The landing page states that real-estate index records from 1950 to current are available online for title searching. Guest users can view index information, but viewing, printing, or downloading deeds, liens, or plats requires signing in or creating an account. The portal states there is no subscription fee, but there is a $2.00 minimum credit-card purchase and a $0.50 per page charge for printing or downloading.

What the State Court Docket Search Shows
State Court has its own public docket search at apps.maconbibb.us/statecourt. The application is useful because its field and result structure are more visible than many other portals. It can display case list, case status, case number, case name, filing date, parties, events, documents, charges, old case number or citation number, offense date, sentences, sentence notes, and warrants. The app also includes no-data messages when there are no scheduled events, no filed documents, no charges, no sentences, or no warrants for the case.

Georgia’s Open Records Act includes O.C.G.A. 50-18-70, O.C.G.A. 50-18-71, and O.C.G.A. 50-18-72, but court-created judicial records are handled through court access rules, clerk procedures, and confidentiality laws as well. Traffic, Marriage, Divorce, and Probate Records
